- Rate discount - you will receive 1% off the posted interest rate on a five-year fixed rate mortgage.
- Cash rebate - we will rebate up to 1.0% of the amount of the mortgage when you make ENERGY STAR® qualified purchases or purchase of CSA® approved solar panels.
- Available to new home buyers and existing home owners.
For example, say you obtain a Green Mortgage for $200,000 and the posted five-year fixed rate is 7.44%. Your interest rate would
be discounted to 6.44%. After you obtain the Green Mortgage, you then upgrade your kitchen and spend $3,500 on a new
dishwasher and refrigerator, both ENERGY STAR® qualified. Next,you submit your receipts to our lender and after validating, them, they credit
you with the maximum rebate of $2,000.
What’s eligible for the rebate?A wide range of ENERGY STAR® qualified products and CSA® approved solar panels are eligible for rebate in the following categories:
ENERGY STAR® qualified:• Major appliances
• Heating, cooling and ventilation equipment and controls
• Windows, doors and skylights
CSA® approved:• Solar Panels
The cost of a residential energy efficiency assessment is also eligible for the rebate. To find out whether a specific product is ENERGY
